Spicy Sichuan Soba

In our boldest symphony of flavors to date, we’ve found a spicy harmony of Asian tastes and textures. Korean chili flakes and Sichuan peppercorns will make your taste buds sing, while Japanese staples like soba and edamame keep the beat. It's rounded out with the hum of a sizzling black bean sauce and crunchy veggies like broccoli and red bell peppers. Get ready for a standing ovation!

And the winner is…

While fermented black beans and Sichuan peppercorns may steal the show, the award for best supporting actor in this bowl goes to the buckwheat soba noodles that it was built around. Our chefs figured out how to cook these noodles to the perfect al dente doneness so that they hold a nice toothy bite when reheated. We'd like to thank the (culinary) academy…

A fiber-rich staple of home cooking and restaurant cuisine alike, this broccoli adds some crunch to the dish.

Their peppercorns will make your taste buds tingle, but did you know that China’s Sichuan peppers aren’t at all related to western chili peppers?
