A Peek Inside The Cup: Mango Lassi

We’re back for another round of Peek Inside The Cup with my personal favorite: Mango Lassi.

This cup of sweetness is our take on a classic, giving you the fuel you need for busy mornings or a delicious boost to any afternoon. Thanks to the ripe mangos and tangy finish of Cocojune probiotic yogurt, all you need to do is sip, sip and say ahhhh to close out your mini vacation to Mumbai.

Summer pro tip: Blend this smoothie with your liquid of choice and pour into your favorite popsicle mold. Freeze and enjoy vegan, nutrient dense treats whenver your sweet tooth is calling!

Here’s what is inside, and why we love it:

Mango: This exotic stone fruit is packed, and we mean packed with immune boosting vitamin c. In just 1 cup of there are two-thirds of the daily recommended dose! Couple that with high levels of antioxidants like beta-carotene and phytochemicals to protect you from free radical damage and you’re setting yourself up for the bodyguard you always wanted.

Coconut Oil: Have you heard of MCTs? Thanks to the medium chain triglycerides in coconut oil, you’re providing your body a rapid energy source that is easier to absorb and able to be used faster than any other type of saturated fat. Aside from also providing a light but sweet taste, coconut oil helps to build, repair and promote gorgeous skin. By providing the essential amounts of Vitamin E, you’ll be glowing from the inside out while reducing inflammation.

Hemp Seeds: Who knew these little wonders are a complete protein. About 25% of the calories in hemp seeds come from protein. Wow! That alone is enough to excite us about including them in this delicious smoothie. What’s even better? They’re an amazing source of both soluble and insoluble fiber to make them MVPs of digestion and overall gut health.

Rosewater: Aside from the beautiful and fresh taste of rosewater, just a sip of this fragrant water eases internal inflammation and is globally known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Many cultures in the Middle East use it to treat symptoms from common cold symptoms, to rosy cheeks, to more serious inflammatory responses like bronchitis. This is the team player you’re going to want on your side.
