That’s a huge reduction in plastic waste, and it’s just one of the ways we are working to reduce our environmental impact.

2. Smarter Shipping

How your food gets to you is just as important as how it’s made. We ship our meals in insulated boxes—and our insulation is made with recycled paper!

Because our Mosaic Foods meals are frozen and packed in this high-quality insulation, they stay cold for the long haul. This powerful combination allows us to ship 99% of our meals via ground shipping. This is a huge win for the planet. Air freight produces about 80 times more carbon than shipping by truck. By sticking to ground transport, we are choosing a far more efficient path than express air shipping or the inefficiency of a delivery driver crisscrossing the city to drop off just a few takeout orders at a time.

3. Less Food Waste

Food waste is a massive global issue, but freezing is a powerful tool to fight it. In the United States alone, nearly 40% of all food produced goes uneaten.
